Course Description | This five-day course is designed for competent whitewater kayakers who want to become instructors. During this course instructor candidates will learn industry standards for teaching kayaking and be assessed throughout the class on Teaching Ability, Technical Ability, Technical Knowledge, and Rescue Ability. Prerequisites | 18 years of age, competent class III kayaker with a solid roll, current ACA member. Become a MEMBER or RENEW .

Course Description | This course is for competent boaters of any discipline and focuses on accident avoidance and proactive rescue techniques. Students can expect to learn skills in dealing with swimmers, entrapment and pins. Proper use of throw bags, rescue vests and other rescue gear will also be covered. Rescue skills will be applied through scenarios enacted on the water. Students will be assessed on skills learned throughout the course.

Prerequisites  Competent class III kayaker with a solid roll. For certification you MUST be an ACA member. Become a MEMBER or RENEW .
